I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an in-depth look at the Phantom character.

While the characterization of Christine is questionable, "Phantom" gives Erik an astounding amount of dimensionality and makes his role as a tragic villain so much more poignant. At 400+ pages it isn't a quick read but it is worth it for the heartbreaking first person perspective that is sure to bring tears to your eyes.

One of the most heartbreaking stories I've ever read. I wept more than once over it. Heartbreaking, but also a very beautiful and bittersweet book. I highly recommend it to any Phantom of the Opera fans that come across it.
