I loved this book.
I love how this book focuses on Shira. After reading the first book in this series, I was curious about learning more about Shira.
I loved seeing her strength and courage when it came to being a midwife. Seeing her be brave and stand up in defense of others but not see herself as worthy of anything was so sad but at the same time so beautifully written.
I loved how she slowly comes to realize that God does see her worthy and that he created her for a purpose.
I also loved her relationship with Ayal despite the initial drama and dilema. Their individual struggles to forgive their pasts and move on from their pains and bitterness was so heartfelt.
I also really liked reading about Dvorah and everything she has suffered from, which have shaped her into a bitter woman desperate for a way to start over her life. And I loved seeing her get a second chance from God.
