Our second grader picked this book because he really enjoys the television show that the book is based on.

Second graders take: The book is about a little girl named Masha. She is friends with a bear who lives in the woods. My favorite part of this story is when Bear remembers when he was a little cub and played in the apple tree. Three words to describe this book would be: cool, awesome, and brilliant.

Mom's take: He read this on his own and was able to tell me about the story. This was our first book for summer reading 2017.
