An insightful and well-researched survey of the theology, mythology and sociology surrounding the story of Adam and Eve. My only complaint is that, at times, the book reads too much like the script for a documentary travelogue. Without the sound and pictures, the people and places, it doesn't quite come alive. I hope PBS and a production company bring the book into development and onto the small screen. It will make a wonderful series.
