This has to be one of the greatest documentaries out there. Watching it for the second time.

I have viewed Vol. # 1 The Country and the City, 1609-1825 ;,.. and liked it very much, (although the music can be a tad overblown at times). Ric Burns is a master at this format, and, so far, this series is informative, interesting, and insightful. I'm looking forward to seeing the others. ...Update : I have just now finished seeing Vol. 2 . It was distressingly enlightening,.. and equally well-crafted. ...And Vols. 3 , 4, and 5,. were well crafetd and informative, also. ( I wish they were all available in one single set,.. instead of having to reserve them one volumne at a time !)

Please make sure this is not the same copy as the one I just turned it. That copy was bad and would not play properly.
