I probably made the mistake of watching the Special Features first. When I realized the ending I never watched the film. Despite fine acting & storyline, I just couldn't watch it. Quick return for others waiting.

Yet another Hollywood version of the American Dream.

I really liked this 'human study' piece. Not for those who want fast and intense; this is more ponderous. It follows Charlie a 15 year old boy on his journey into adolescence after his mother abandons him as a baby. He and his alcoholic- womanizing father survive. Can Charlie figure out how to thrive? Follow his tragic journey through homelessness and devastation to see if he gets that chance that we all hope for. The actor playing Charlie is mesmerizing in his portrayal of this young hero.

Great story and great acting, but a heart-breaker for sure. Some scenes are a bit gritty and would not be appropriate for younger children.

This adventure and drama movie is about a teenage boy who lives with his single father, and begins to take care of a horse named Pete. After learning that the horse is being sent for slaughter, he ventures out into the world to find a new place to call home and save the horse. The movie had some amazing casting, with actors that definitely made sense for their roles. I felt at times like some things were slow-paced or a little boring, but by the end of the film I was hooked. I would rate this movie 4.5/5 stars and recommend it to those who like heart warming movies. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

We really enjoyed this movie! It was very realistic acting by a very promising young actor.
With true grit, a decent young man fought the good fight to rid himself of his problems, to achieve a better life. Quite uplifting,

This movie is horrible! The most depressing movie I've ever seen, it just gets worst. They even kill the horse off. If you like really depressing movies, watch this.
