The illustrations in this book are beautiful and it tells a lovely story about Pura Belpre immigrating to the United States and becoming the first bilingual librarian at the New York Public Library. Will definitely be using this as a Read Aloud book.
This book is beautifully illustrated and tells of Pura Belpré's story of coming to the U.S. and becoming a storyteller in a public library.
