Mr. Rosbottom is an excellent historical author. I had read his book, When Paris Went Dark, in 2014--I had forgotten I had done so, actually. I do read a lot of Historical books. So, I checked my reading journal and found I had marked that read as one of my top books of the year.
I have begun Sudden Courage and realize for myself that this periodical will be another top read. I really like the style of Mr. Rosbottom's writing. A page turner literary work, for sure. If you are a history buff--especially W W I I era, I suggest this one for you...
LATER: AND now upon finishing, I state that this was a very emotional read, and found a requirement of hankies --at one point weeping hard for several minutes-- following a segment of one of the chapters.
