There are some spectacular moments in this film, but as other reviewers have stated, there is an incredible amount of slow time in between. Somehow, this film managed to not be any more creepy than the 30-year old TV mini-series. Seems it was a waste of the "freedom" you have in film. But they did use the opportunity to do some PC proselytizing, which was completely unrelated to the film and not in the source material. That's always a big distraction and disappointment to me. Too slow and too preachy to be a good film.

An unnecessarily long and monotonous sequel that tarnishes what the first remake did. Plus a total waste of the actors time, despite them trying their hardest to elevate the material it all falls flat because of the script. It's like Muschietti was sleep walking while directing this.

So, so long. Perhaps the editor went missing. That clown is creepy AF though.

Some things are best left alone. This is prime example. Miscast and badly written dialogue; if the actors used the 'F-word' just a few more times this terrible re-make would have clocked in at over 3 hours. Maybe they could try it again and just use the 'F-word' for everything actor's. At least it would have funny. But this? This entire mess is just a waste of celluloid. Can you say paycheck, anyone? Sure, I knew you could. Steven King's cameo is the best thing in this.

This was a long drawn out let down compared to the first chapter. That one actually scared me; this one just had me checking the time to see how much of it was left. So much of this could have been either cut out or added to the first. Glad I didn't pay to see this in the theater.

This was a big let down from Chapter One which I enjoyed very much. This film seemed to abandon the story and the characters more in favor of special effects and gore.

Okay, I agree, 1st part is better. This part is too long, and it has too many detours that are unnecessary. The actors do a good job and are well cast in general. Find it hard to believe it's the same director as the first part. Makes the original adaptation look pretty good. Who would have thought it possible? Yes, bigger budget, better CGI effect's, but that only goes so far. Just doesn't do that good a job with the story. That said and done, it is worth watching. The Clown villain "IT" is still very scary. And yes, the amusement park mirror scene is very effective. 👍 👍 👍

Gratuitous nastiness. Had to stop watching after 10 minutes. Wish I could flush it down the toilet but it's library property.
