Opinion

From Library Staff

The plot follows two friends, Hedgehog and Tortoise, that want to show their love by hugging. They are best friends! Hugging is how they show love. But, for reasons not specified, they cannot. Owl teaches them that there are other ways to show love besides touch.

It's hard to show love while we can't physically touch one another. This book shows two friends who want to express themselves, especially when they are used to hugging, learn about different ways to show their love and friendship.

Sometimes you really need a hug from your best friend but can't hug them at the moment. Thankfully Owl shows BFFs Hedgehog and Tortoise how to send one's love by making funny faces, dancing silly dances and and drawing each other pictures.
