An interesting book, but better to read Forrest McDonald's biography on Hamilton, and read what the economist, Ha-Joon Chang [Cambridge] writes about Hamilton, to get the broadest and fullest picture of the man. The constant factor included in George Washington's most victories military campaigns was having Alexander Hamilton as his chief of staff [only Hamilton would think of sending beer kegs to the Hessian soldiers at Valley Forge the night prior their attack]. Whenever men are assassinated in the political arena, much revisionism occurs: the week prior to Hamilton's probable assassination by several men and Burr, his son was murdered in another setup duel [masterminded by the criminal and thief, Burr], thus effectively destroying the Hamlton family entirely. Hamilton was truly the Father of Our Country [if people choose to toss around that exceptionalist title!].
