Sapphique was written by Catherine Fisher, and it is the sequel to Incarceron. After Finn has escaped from a prison called Incarceron, and has been crowned the long lost prince of The Realm. He realizes he does not have the freedom he thought he was going to have, the Outside was just basically another prison because of the protocol. He also faces problems on the Outside; another Prince Giles has come forward saying that Finn is a fake. Now his oath brother, Keiro and his friend Attia are trying to escape the maniacal prison. But, in order to do that they need Sapphiques magical glove. It is not going to be easy they have many obstacles to face, including a looney magician, rioting prisoners and the worst of all they have to compete with the prison itself for the glove. I would rate this book, three out of five stars because I thought it was just an average book there was not really anything special about the book it did not make me wanting to read more. But, I do think that the author chose the right title for the book. This is because Sapphique is the only person who has ever escaped the prison and he had left his glove behind when he left. Attia, Keiro and other prisoners wanting the glove drives the plot forward because it gives the prisoners hope that they can escape before the prison does, leaving them all there to starve and freeze to death.
