Pretty good story about the conflict of trying to make a relationship work while making it big in the music industry. The couple had a lot of internal and external conflicts pushing against them. Both of them are dealing with self-esteem issues, the heroine mostly. It was a bit annoying that it seemed that Slater was fighting more for the relationship than Emmie was. Also her career issues were becoming monotonous with her insistence that she needed to be on one career path. When in fact with her education, she should have realized that there were different avenues she could take and still have the career she wanted. The author sprinkles in some secondary characters that are interesting and could have used more development, like the band mates. Overall is was a good, sexy read that grabs your attention.
