Okay, I loved it. I have loved Rick Riordan's books for a long time now, but for a while I shrugged them off (after Blood of Olympus- that book left me disappointed). I was worried about falling for new characters amidst poor writing choices and so I left off reading on in the Riordan world. Until now. I'm so happy with this book. It made me completely overlook (but not forgive) BoO and was like the breath of redemption I had been longing for. I love the characters, I love the writing, the storyline and the adventure. It's just amazing how Uncle Rick continues to amaze me and pull me into this world. It's masterful. It's also strange. I got to a point in the book that was super intense and had to put the book down and just think about what I was reading. I realized at that moment that even though I was reading this dark, twisted scene with deceit and straight up murder, I almost hadn't been phased by it. That was the moment I knew I was trapped and had no hope of letting this series go. Very exciting story, I feel like I know the direction this next book is going to take but I know I'm going to love it.
