Yabba-Dabba-Do??? Yeah. I know that The Flinstone's TV series from the early 1960s is considered by many to be a classic, animated, comedy show, but, personally (from an adult's point of view), I found it to be very disappointing. I thought that the "so-called" humorous situations presented in these 16 episodes to be (for the most part) very poorly conceived. As well, I quickly began to take a great disliking towards the Fred Flintstone character. I found (far too often) Fred to be too miserable and mean-minded and always too quick to turn on his neighbour (and supposedly best friend), Barney Rubble, for my liking. Fred's predictable schtick, which was the focus of this show, left me quite bored and unmoved by its weak attempts to be humorous. And finally - Set in prehistoric times, this show's "caveman" ambiance seemed almost irrelevant to the activity that took place in its stories. In my opinion, from the everyday, humdrum situations that went on between the characters the whole show could have just as easily been set in modern-day NYC.
