The book Lost Stars was good, although it was a little bit slow in the beginning. A girl – Caraway – was in love with the stars. Her sister just died and Caraway fell into the wrong crowd (her sister’s friends). But then she met a boy who liked her for the real her. I liked Dean, the boy who was good to her. I liked how he helped her in many ways. I didn’t like how slow the beginning was pretty slow and wasn’t a book I just couldn’t put down. The book provided good imagery, you could really envision some parts of the book. The plot was well planned. Conflict between the girl and her dad was well written. There was some humour, and the humour was good. This book would be good for younger teens (12 or 13).
