Omotoso presents an engaging story of two old women, each with her own scars, who find a separate peace both with one another and with their lives as they have lived them.
This is not high literature, but the story invites you into their circumstances, and eventually you find yourself caring for these two old battle-axes, not in a saccharine kind of way but in a way that breeds fondness and respect.
It's a good read.
