An illuminating book about how for-profit colleges market to and enroll their students, and about the wider economic and social context that has contributed to their growth. Some of the disciplinary terminology she uses made her points difficult for me to fully grasp sometimes, but overall she lays out convincing, well-supported arguments. The author herself worked as an enrollment officer at a for-profit college before pursuing an academic career, so she offers an insider's perspective as well.
