Brubeck has so much fun experimenting with odd time signatures. My personal favorite is "Take Five." I love is so much that it was a feature song at my wedding reception.

- Yes, THAT Seth MacFarlane - of Family Guy fame. He can actually sing very well!
- This album makes a great road trip soundtrack! I especially like "American Panorama" and "We Made a New World."
- The title song has a fantastic tenor sax solo by Rick Margitza.

Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Count Basie... What's not to love?- I have had a special fondness for their version of "Birdland" since playing it many, many years ago in a high school jazz band.
- This is a new CD by Wynton Marsalis. He comes from a family of great jazz artists. His dad, Ellis Marsalis, plays piano, Branford (brother) plays saxaphone) and Marsalis plays trumpet and now leads the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
- This group is so much fun! They can make you feel like your in a speakeasy, cabaret, or jazz hall of decades past.
- Jeff Goldblum. He can really play. He's also got some great featured guests on this CD.
- Caro Emerald is a Dutch jazz singer who adds a pop flare to her music. I think my favorites are "Pack up the Louis" and "Coming Back as a Man."
- He has some great drum solos and sax solis (where the entire sax section is featured.) I love "Sister Sadie" and "Lament for Lester" has a nice schmaltzy vibe.
- "Ornithology" gets stuck in my head and I will be singing it for days.
- Jazzmeia Horn is a fairly new American jazz singer and she is incredible and has a great scat. She sings the standards but in a new way. I love "I Remember You."
- This group has gone through many changes since they began in 1969 but they still have the same great sound!
- You have never Radiohead's "Creep" they way Haley Reinhart sings it!
- I was so lucky to get to see Count Basie on his last tour when I was in high school (that was a long time ago!) He has remained one of my all time favorites and the song "Blue Skies" has a special place in my heart.
- Billiy Holiday, or Lady Day as she was known, had such a unique voice and was such a great story teller. One of my favorite songs she wrote and performed is "God Bless the Child."
- Do you like Michael Buble? Then you like jazz. His arrangement of "Cry Me a River" is incredible.
- Every song on this album was done in a single take. I can't even begin to tell you how phenomenal that is.
- This is the album that introduced me to Diana Krall and, although I love all of hers, this one remains my favorite.
