When her mother is abducted by aliens on Smekday Eve--the holiday formerly known as Christmas until the alien invasion by the Boov--eleven-year-old Tip drives the family car south to find her and meets a Boov mechanic who agrees to help her rescue her mother and save Earth from disaster.
